Norway succumbs to Indulgence.
FFB Nordic has launched Colchester-based Indulgence Patisserie’s range of premium desserts in 275 bakeries across Norway.
The pre-sliced cakes are delivered frozen to the bakeries and sold chilled, to meet a rapidly growing demand for chilled desserts in the market.
Bake me a cake, as fast as you can
Busy bakers in Norway, increasingly unable to deal with the growing demand, welcomed FFB approaching them with a company that could provide desserts that were as good as any baked on the premises.
FFB Nordic Managing Direct Jakob True commented, “After Indulgence visited the Nordic market and we discussed their product, we originally thought that they would be a good fit for Norway’s growing network of coffee shops. However, closer investigation in the market revealed a real need among time-poor bakeries for premium-quality patisserie products. They wanted to be able to serve bakery-quality patisserie without having to make it themselves. Indulgence’s cakes were of a sufficiently high quality to fit the bill.”
Angus Allan, Managing Director of Indulgence Patisserie, is delighted at the new business. “FFB Nordic worked with us to market the product to the right buyers and to work out logistics and pricing. We’ve had two orders now and the customers seem to be very happy with our premium desserts. It’s a new line of business that we wouldn’t have had without FFB.”
