New listings

- FFB Portugal helped Foodafayre to launch a canapé range in the Algarve.
- Indulgence Patisserie has received its second order for its premium desserts, which are being sold in 275 bakeries across Norway. See the Indulgence Patisserie case study for more information.
- Typhoo Tea has received orders, via a local distributor, following its launch in the Algarve, which FFB Portugal assisted with.Real Crisps has received orders for its new range, thanks to assistance from FFB Portugal.
Promoting British products
- Ethnic food suppliers, including Nando’s, in Belgian Delhaize stores are reaping the rewards of FFB Belgium’s in-store promotion of their products in the supermarket’s ‘Food of the World’ ethnic range. See our Food of the World case study for more information.

- FFB Portugal organised a point-of-sale promotion for Westaway sausages.
- The Belgian TV crew that recently visited a Welsh lamb producer with FFB Belgium was so delighted by its work that it is re-producing the film in English for wider circulation.
- Eroski, the fourth biggest food chain in Spain, is running a British food promotion in its stores in the Balearics. The chain approached FFB Spain for advice on products that would appeal to the expat market, which will be featured in the promotional material.
- FFB Spain is also working with the MLC for a Meat and Cheese promotion in Madrid in October.
- FFB Italy reported that the British food and drink products served at the Queen’s Birthday Party in June were very well received.
- A journalist from Lebensmittelzeitung magazine, Germany’s largest food and drink trade magazine, visited the factories of ten UK food and drink producers and will interview or visit the German distributor of ten more. This will form a ‘GB Special’ which will be published in September before ANUGA.
- FFB Germany took journalists from German meat trade publication Fleischmagazine to the UK, to see the process of lamb farming ‘from farm to plate’.
- Shape, one of the three top German women’s lifestyle magazines, will feature Jordan’s in an upcoming ‘breakfast special’.
- FFB Germany secured an article for Dormen Foods in First Class magazine, the number one magazine for hotel managers.
Building buyer relationships
- With FFB Belgium’s assistance, buyers from Delhaize have planned a trip to Wales in June to get a better understanding of Welsh lamb, as there will be a Welsh lamb promotion in the store for three months.
