Top British producers invited to enter Taste of Britain Awards 2007

Food from Britain, in conjunction with The Daily Telegraph, Sainsbury’s, IDG and Defra is proud to announce the 2007 Taste of Britain competition, which will pit the country’s top food and drink producers against one another to find the taste champions of Britain.

CarrotsThis celebration of British food and drink is open to all companies, large and small, who believe that their top-quality products embody the best of British. The competition will be judged by a panel of eminent food and drink industry experts, and companies shortlisted for the final awards will be invited to a prestigious awards lunch held at Highgrove, His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales’ family home.

There are five categories in which products can be entered:
• Best UK food
• Best UK drink/beverage
• Best regional food
• Best organic food
• Best seasonal foodEnglish breakfast

It doesn’t matter what you enter, as long as you are a UK-registered food and/ or drink producer, source your ingredients from the UK where possible, and believe that your product is a great ambassador for the best of British food.
