Tasty opportunities for snack producers
Calling all sweet and savoury snack producers! Do you know of the exclusive information, discounts and information available to you from FFB?
- Half-price Fast Track membership: Good news for cereal producers comes in the form of the HGCA offering to pay for 50% of the cost of the first two years of membership to FFB’s Fast Track scheme. To take advantage of this offer, contact Jane Wakeling on jwakeling@foodfrombritain.co.uk.
- Home-Grown Cereals Authority (HGCA) Bulletin: FFB and HGCA produce an export bulletin every three months, with each edition focussing on a different geographical area and including information from all sectors of the cereal-related products industry. The bulletins are issued to all cereal-related companies on FFB’s database, so if you are interested in receiving it please contact Chiara Dellapasqua on cdellapasqua@foodfrombritain.co.uk.
- HGCA Enterprise Awards: British cereal companies are encouraged to enter this scheme, which supports innovation by providing awards of up to £50,000 on a match-funding basis. Previous awards have gone to Dorset Cereals to establish business in North America, and to Gusto pet food to export to key European markets. The deadline for the next round of applications is 30 June 2007. Contact your client development account manager for advice on putting together an application, or visit www.hgca.com/enterprise.
- German savoury snack report: FFB Germany has drafted a report on savoury snacks market in the country. The German Market for Savoury Snacks is a 16-page document containing information on market size, market development trends, consumption behaviour, and main sales channels. The report is available now, priced at €200 or two Fast Track Vouchers for Fast Track members. To purchase the report, contact Linda Kuhlmann at Kuhlmann@foodfrombritain.de.
- ISM: With the British companies that exhibited at ISM 2007 expecting almost £5m worth of orders to follow as a result of their attendance, along with the £500,000 of firm orders placed at the show, it’s not surprising that interest is already high for the 2008 event. For more information about how your company can profit from exhibiting at the show by joining FFB’s British Pavilion, visit our ISM page or contact Estelle Challe on echalle@foodfrombritain.co.uk.
- Sweets Middle East: British confectionery companies will soon have the chance to display their produce to key industry buyers in the region when a new satellite show of ISM called Sweets Middle East premiers in Dubai this November. With UK confectionery exports to the region worth over £12m, it is becoming an increasingly important export market. To find out how your company can get involved, visit our Sweets MIddle East page or contact Estelle Challe on echalle@foodfrombritain.co.uk.
