Summer Fancy Food is the most important annual exhibition for the gourmet/specialty food trade in the United States.  With a large number of US manufacturers and importers exhibiting at the show, join the group this is your chance to see for yourself the latest trends in the US food and drink category.

  • The US is the UK 3rd food and drink export market in 2007 with sales registering £865.28m for the January to November 2007 period, up 2.2% compared to the previous year.
  • Beverages (particularly alcoholic drinks), fish and seafood, cocoa, bakery products and dairy, especially cheese, account for 87% of the UK total exports to the US.
  • Biscuits continue to be a star performer in terms of UK exports to the US, with growth of 11% in 2006 to reach an export value of nearly £15 million, despite the strengthening of the pound against the US dollar. The demand for organic and fortified products continues to stimulate growth in the market.
  • Breakfast Cereals exports from the UK to Canada saw solid growth of 14% in 2006 and are valued ahead of the US after demand here suffered. Again, opportunities for British exporters exist in the natural and health segments of the market.
