Food from Britain, in conjunction with UK Trade & Investment, are organising a month-long English afternoon tea promotion at The Regent Hotel lobby lounge from the 18 April to 18 May. The Regent Hotel wants to become renowned as having the most authentic and best afternoon tea in Singapore, using a wide range of quality premium UK products.
The Regent wants to hear from UK companies with appropriate products for this event. They are looking for products from the following categories:
- Tea/coffee
- Cider
- Soft drinks, cordials and juices
- Scone, bread, cake mixes
- Honey
- Preserves & jams
- Sweet sauces
- Toffee, fudge
- Chocolates
- Dairy (creams, especially clotted and butter)
- Salmon
- Flours and dried fruit
Additional retail opportunity
The Regent is also offering a retail opportunity for quality products with attractive packaging to feature in their deli "Something to go" next to the lobby lounge. Hotel residents (nearly 70% are Japanese), local Singaporean and expats use the deli.
Deadline for expression of interest: 28 February 2008
Due to the tight timescales of this project, FFB will be facilitating sample shipments of products to Singapore to arrive in the first week of March for selection by The Regent Hotel buyers.
